Guest House View, February 2016

18" x 48" oil on canvas
Framed, $5200

The Guest House is approached from 3 main paths, but approaching from the lowest path, it peeks over the hill in the distance. The panoramic approach to this composition, at its size, is intended to be engulfing when viewed in person.

Zinfandel Harvest, 2015

12" x 16" oil on canvas
Framed, $1650

Honorable Mention, Oil Painters of America, Summer 2016 Online Showcase

I loved portraying the contrasts between the roughness of the vine and the smoothness of the grapes here. Though loosely and thickly handled in many places, the naturally-produced wax on the skins of the grapes presented a great opportunity to hone in with sharp detail.

Frantoio Olives, Harvest 2015

8" x 10" oil on panel
Framed, $850

Though both produce small rounded fruit, the leaves of the olive trees and grapevines couldn't be more different.  They create such different shapes and interplay of light from each other, both of which lend themselves to many different compositions.
